About Us
Our Mission
Nanomatronix uses nanotechnology, microelectronics, and biotechnology to provide solutions to the healthcare, energy, and defense industries. Additionally, Nanomatronix is a technology development and transfer company that helps transition novel biomedical, chemical processing, microelectronics, nanomaterial, and photonics technologies from the academic and R&D realms into the applied commercial realm.
Business Units
As a small engineering firm that is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our customers, we have a wide range of expertise, facilities and capabilities. We have three strategic business units (SBUs) – Biotechnology, Microelectronics and Nanotechnology. Each SBU focuses on niche product and service development with emphasis placed on developing multi-disciplinary product and system-level solutions that integrate materials and utilize methods from all three SBUs.
What We Do
Nanomatronix’s primary service is to design, prototype, package, screen, qualify and produce application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), hybrid microcircuits and fiber optic networking (FON) transceivers for terrestrial and harsh environments. We provide standardized screening and qualifications testing per a wide range of DOD, NASA, industry and customer-specific standards, including radiation environment testing. Our engineers are certified in IPC J-STD-001 for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies and Space Applications Electronic Hardware. We also synthesize a wide range of nanostructured metal-oxides, metal-oxide intermediates, carbon nanotubes, and polymer nanofibers. Additionally, active R&D is underway with a variety of other technologies. For example, Nanomatronix is exploring methods to filter wastewater on the International Space Station, develop better in vivo vaccine screenings for the poultry industry, screen drugs for traumatic brain injury using brain organ-on-chip systems, and treat volumetric muscle loss in victims of combat or traumatic accidents using human muscle scaffolds.
